I Ride

I ride, I ride, no tracks are left;
I chop and chop;
There are no chips left.
He rides and rides;
Turns around:
There is no road left.

Arms and Legs

I have arms,
I have legs,
I even have a back;
But movement I lack

Quick and Deadly

I can be quick and then I’m deadly,
I am a rock, shell and bone medley.
If I was made into a man, I’d make people dream,
I gather my millions by ocean, sea and stream.

Dawn

Every dawn begins with me,
At dusk I’ll be the first you see,
And daybreak couldn’t come without
What midday centers all about.
Daises grow from me, I’m told
And when I come, I end all cold,
But in the sun I won’t be found,
Yet still, each day I’ll be around.

One Letter

Pronounced as one letter,And written with three,Two letters there are,And two only in me.I’m double, I’m single,I’m black, blue, and gray,I’m read from both ends,And the same either way.

So Tiny

I am so tiny you can hardly see me.I’m a recorder of action and priority.It might take a few of me to impart what I know,but that depends if you read fast or read slow.

Potato’s

A potato’s key tool, I have all the power.I am generally used on the half or full hour.If my cells were deceased or lost or the such,My partner would only respond to your touch.

Two Ropes

You are given two ropes and a lighter. This is the only equipment you can use. You are told that each of the two ropes has the following property: if you light one end of the rope, it will take exactly one hour to burn all the way to the other end. But it doesn’t have to burn at a uniform rate. In other words, half the rope may burn in the first five minutes, and then the other half would take 55 minutes.The rate at which the two ropes burn is not necessarily the same, so the second rope will also take an hour to burn from one end to the other, but may do it at some varying rate, which is not necessarily the same as the one for the first rope. Now you are asked to measure a period of 45 minutes.How will you do it?

The Duo

Mates unbalanced,Or so they seem;But paired in tandem,A deadly team.She so gently round,Him so firm and straight,Yet when they are compounded,Woe to them they hate.
